Live United - Nonprofit Advocacy Video Production

Each year during the summer, Scott & White Healthcare partnered with United Way to sponsor the organization's efforts and raise awareness about its mission. As the lead video team member within the marketing department at S&W, Dwayne Boyd shot, edited, directed and co-produced this video during August 2011. To put a face on United Way's theme that year of "Live United," his team interviewed various community members who give of their time to make a difference. Watch this video to hear from a Meals on Wheels volunteer, a volunteer at a camp for the disabled or specially challenged, a physician volunteer at the Temple Free Health Clinic and a food pantry volunteer. Boyd says he was thrilled to create this nonprofit advocacy video while working at S&W. As the CEO of Corporate Video Texas, Dwayne Boyd loves working with Texas nonprofits to create videos that meet their messaging goals on a budget they can afford.

Glass Hands Help Us Remember - Children Video Production

The Glass Hands Project is a special part of Scott & White Healthcare's Child Life department. For the families of children diagnosed with terminal conditions, these hospital employees help create crafts that preserve the shape of those children's hands in an art project. The goal is to offer a creative memory through art for that family to cherish forever, while giving the child an enjoyable experience. As the lead video team member for the marketing department of S&W Healthcare, Dwayne Boyd was honored to have the chance to shoot, edit, direct and co-produce a video about this special work for families and children.

Serenading Pediatric Patients - Celebrity Video Opportunities

Singer and songwriter of top 40 country hits “Friday Night” and “Song About a Girl” Eric Paslay, who grew up in Temple, volunteered to visit McLane Children’s Hospital and give a free mini concert for pediatric patients there. The purpose of the video was to highlight a local kid who came home to give back to his community and to brand McLane Children’s as a place to receive excellent pediatric care. Dwayne Boyd was hired for freelance corporate video production services and served as co-producer, co-director, videographer and editor for a video that was launched on the Scott & White Healthcare YouTube channel.

Men's Health is Like Car Maintenance - Expert Profile Videos

Dr. Harrison Raymond makes a compelling case for the comparison between men needing to pay attention to their health just like they would a car's maintenance needs. Especially when men turn age 50, Dr. Raymond says it's important to "check all the hoses and valves" - or in other words - get regular screenings recommended by your doctor and pay attention to things like chronic pain, shortness of breath and other indicators. Dr. Harrison is a family physician at the Scott & White Copperas Cove clinic, and specializes in primary care of adults, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, kidney disease and lung disease. While serving as the lead for Scott & White's video team, Dwayne Boyd shot, edited and co-produced this physician specialty piece.
